Lisa joined our team near the end of 2024 after we had some long conversations. Typically, I ask those who seek to join us, “to dream big and try to envision what could be. What does that look like?”

Lisa is living in Warsaw as a Ukrainian refugee. She and her teenage daughter Eliana (or Elia for short) are from Kyiv. Lisa serves in the worship team, youth, and prayer ministries in her congregation in Warsaw. I met Lisa and Elia in 2022. They host guests such as pastors, ministry leaders, and missionaries in their home as they pass through Warsaw on the way to Ukraine.

Lisa shared her desire to lead a youth ministry integrating teens from Ukraine and Poland. Intercultural differences make it difficult for Ukrainian and Polish kids to understand one another. Here’s more of the story from Lisa herself...

"We’re deeply grateful to be teaming up with T3O because, in Warsaw, we gather young people to celebrate events like Hanukkah. Recently we hosted a Hanukkah party for the teens and young adults from our congregation and other churches and even non-believers from the community."

About  60 young people attended, including about 10 non-believers. Everyone greatly enjoyed the event. We shared how God answers prayers and performs miracles in our lives.

We have a strong desire to expand and develop youth prayer retreats. Our goal is to encourage both Ukrainian and Polish teens to repent and then strengthen their faith in the Lord.

This initiative is aimed primarily at Ukrainian teens who have experienced hardships as refugees and the challenges associated with the war in Ukraine.

We also include Polish youth who are seeking God, greater purpose in life, and opportunities to connect with others.

We help ministry leaders from various countries and cities with transportation, and accommodations, provide hot meals, and support however we can. After all, they’re the Lord’s servants fulfilling His work in Europe.

In February 2025 we are taking a group of teenagers with us to a winter retreat in Ukraine. Many of you helped to sponsor them through the funding campaign led by Joel last fall.

We ask you to pray for this retreat so that it may bear much fruit. The retreat will take place in February for a few days, and then we will return to Warsaw to continue God’s work.

We are grateful that you tirelessly support us. We would love to get to know you better, so please come visit us in Warsaw! May God bless you abundantly. Shalom!”

I mentioned that I had asked Lisa to “dream big” and to cast her vision for what could be in Warsaw, Poland. Lisa recently shared with us the idea of creating a summer camp near Gdansk, Poland on the North Sea for a group of teens in her congregation and community. She has many other ideas for spiritually enriching the lives of teens within her immediate reach.

Wouldn't it be amazing to gather a team to join Lisa in Gdansk and combine and collaborate to share Christ with her teens?

Please consider joining our partnership development team. We need your help to continue to fund Lisa so that she can “keep running a good race” and share the good news of Jesus with teens in Warsaw."
