OUR STORY
Many years ago we began serving orphans in Ukraine. However, we soon discovered that orphanism is only one facet of a greater social plague we call Fatherlessness. Its impacts are physical, emotional, and spiritual in nature.
The effects of fatherlessness can perpetuate for generations if not stopped, healed, and changed. However, just as the effects of abandonment and abuse can be passed on from one generation to the next so can blessings!
Our goals are simple – minister to people of all ages within our immediate local sphere of influence, and help equip them for success in life with practical life skills, spiritual development, and discipleship by partnering with like-minded caring local adults, ministries, organizations, and their leaders.
JOEL BUTTS
Joel has been leading outreach ministry in Ukraine since 2006 first as a volunteer with World Wide Youth Camps and Youthreach International, and now leads Twelve3One Ministries & Outreach Partners. His ministry initially focused on building mentoring environments around orphans and at-risk youth. Joel is married to his wife, Linda (1991).
He spent over 30 years as a communications and graphic design professional with expertise as a writer, editor, graphic designer, manager, and project manager.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Averett University in Danville, Virginia,.
LINDA BUTTS
Linda serves alongside Joel in Twelve3One as Executive Administrator and manages all finances. Linda manages and operates a successful personal housekeeping business. She enjoys caring for the elderly. She spent many years teaching preschool and working in children’s ministry. Joel and Linda have 2 adult children, Emily, and Ethan - both graduates of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Joel and Linda have the vision to expand their ministry and leverage all of their combined professional and life experiences to help grow God’s kingdom by partnering with other ministries, organizations, churches, pastors, and ministry leaders.
