Maria Yermachenkova

Aalen, Germany

Maria Yermachenkova joined our ministry in March 2023. Her energy, smile, and laughter are contagious. Maria and I have a long history. We participated together for a few summers on orphan outreach mission teams. She also as well as worked in a local orphanage.
She moved to Aalen, Germany, from Feodosia, Crimea in 2022. Once settled, she began serving in the community.

Maria serves in several local ministries. She serves Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking people in her community by collecting and distributing Bibles and Christian materials in their native language. She serves in a local women's ministry and she sometimes serves as an interpreter. In addition, Maria is a master at mobilizing people and finding resources to help collect goods to send humanitarian aid parcels to Ukraine.

Recently Maria has re-kindled a passion for serving orphans through a local ministry - Havilah Mission in Uganda which she introduced us to. This home for orphans and at-risk children houses about 35 kids of all ages. We recently partnered with them to help purchase and install a new cooking system for the home's kitchen.
When Mariia asked to join Twelve3One she said, "I don’t know what I can do…I just want to be an instrument in his hands and let him work through me."

Last year we raised funds to help Maria purchase a used car to help her better serve those in her community. Here's what she had to say ...

“Every time, when I have to use my car, I find myself thinking about how thankful I am to have it. It has made my life much easier! There were days when I would take humanitarian support from people to send it for those in need, and wondered how much space I had in the car! I’m looking forward to seeing what God has prepared for us this year and what else we can do for His kingdom and His beloved people here on earth.”

She works part-time but much of her spare time is spent with friends, at church, or bible study.
There's one other thing that speaks volumes about her life of sacrifice. Last year, Maria obeyed the Father’s calling question; “whom shall I send?”. Just like Isaiah, she answered Him saying, "Here I am, Lord! Send Me!" She added, "God has blessed me with his spiritual gifts and I want to use these gifts to spread his kingdom on the earth. Our world needs his love and his light."
So please pray for Maria about these things:
-
“eyes to see” to see the opportunities the Lord places in her path.
-
wisdom and discernment from the Holy Spirit and that God protects and blesses her throughout her journey.
-
that God provides for her every need.
